stunt double

Stunt Double is a hilarious, tongue in cheek dive into the complex and absurd power dynamics of the film industry, into exploitation as a bloodsport, and the human cost of celebrity.

Raised out of the ashes of the 1970’s Aussie film industry, Stunt Double is part homage to our love of b-grade film, part meditation on power and privilege.

In Stunt Double it’s the hardest working people who get paid the least and exploited the most. Sound familiar? That’s because some things never change.

“They suddenly realized you need a permit to set a car or a trashcan on fire, but you can set a human on fire with no permit. In a funny sort of way, that’s a perfect analogy for the business.”
